(USGA). These rules are limited to united sates and Mexico. Other rules are established under the guidance of these two major bodies in Canada, under the maintenance of Royal Canadian Golf association. The rules can be modified or changed as specified in the rulebooks every four years. The main principle of all these rules is based on the concept of fairness. Rules and regulations are related to the style of play, use of equipments, golf course management, role of amateur etc. apart from basic rules; players also have to abide by golf etiquettes. players are required to understand all the rules to avoid any confusion and to play the game fairly in the available framework.
